At this time of a vast worldwide pandemic it is obvious a music school as we have been running can no longer continue as we have been doing over the last thirty years. Sadly band concerts like the photo above cannot happen at the moment BUT we are working on another way of learning and performing, look at the next page.

St. George Players is a non-profit organization that has been established to give everyone an opportunity to learn an instrument and experience the joy of playing with others in a band, orchestra or ensemble. Our aim has always been to provide the tools that will allow people in the St. George area to develop their instrumental music skills and raise the community’s understanding and appreciation of high quality classical music. We feel now our ultimate aim of making the St. George area a centre of musical excellence is finally starting to be realized.

The venue

Our bands, orchestras and ensembles rehearse on Saturday afternoons, using the facilities of a local Hurstville high school. String and wind ensembles for the advanced players usually rehearse in Oatley where individual lessons are also available.
