This is our beginner band primarily for primary school aged students. Students can start as young as 6 years of age, and we have special instruments like Kinderclarinets and horns to hire to students who are very small or have not yet got their second set of front teeth. Students need no experience playing their instrument as they are given special one hour beginner tutorials to help them develop their basic musical skills. It does not matter that a student can’t decide what instrument they want to play as we can help them select the instrument that will best suit them and teach them everything they need to know. The Wilson Band regularly performs in the St. George Players’ concert series.
This is our senior band which is open to the more experienced players who have reached 3rd. grade AMEB level or greater and generally consists of high school students to adults on individual lessons.
